About Lyric Discovery

One day while watching "American Idol", Howard noticed that many of the people auditioning mentioned they wrote their own music. After some research, Howard discovered that there was no site that brought lyricists and professionals together. He was determined to help aspiring song writers over that career road block.

Thus, Lyric Discovery was created in 2008 to connect professional and aspiring lyricists with musicians and music industry professionals who need fresh voices and new lyrics.

We have two main goals with Lyric Discovery.

Get exposure for the lyricist

Spending hours writing the perfect lyrics is only one step of the song writing process. The next step is the hardest. Lyricists need a way to have the right people read their lyrics. This is the genesis of our lyric database.

Lyricists can upload their entire lyrics or only a portion of their lyrics to our lyric database. If a musician or industry professional is interested in their lyrics, they are able to either view the entire song or contact the lyricist through Lyric Discovery. Agents and managers also read lyrics when they search for new talent.

Having the right people read your lyrics greatly increases writer chances of selling their songs, being hired, obtaining representation, or making the right connections.

By providing a service where qualified industry professionals can browse lyrics by genre and experience, we hope to make finding a good song or songwriter easier and faster.

Lyric Discovery maintains its integrity by performing a thorough background check on all of our music industry professionals before qualifying for membership.
